I hear you. Check around. We are helping our grandkids move out of public schools. And supplement the teaching at home...that's what we always did CMSgt Marcus Falleaf

Although that tends to be a massive problem in many places there actually are some public schools that do function properly and actually teach and properly prepare their students for life beyond their schooling. The parents do need to be involved and make sure what is being taught isn't pushing agendas that do NOT belong in any school. Skills such as reading and writing, along with comprehension as well as History, Geography and Yes even Civics to learn about the functions of Government, how it it set up and how it is supposed to work. It amazes Me how poorly informed so many young people are on these important areas of knowledge . Having said that though, the ignorant, noisy ones seem to get the attention, there actually are an good number of well informed, well educated students that think for themselves but they tend not to be the loud mouths. Of course if they try to share any knowledge it seems there is no shortage of morons shouting them down and trying to prevent them from speaking.

Teachers need to forget indoctrination and get back to reading, writing, and arithmetic.
