About

Camp Rice was renamed Camp Garry Owen in the 1970s, after 4-7 Cav settled in. Which was in Yong Ju Gol, Korea. In the old Western Corridor!

1992/3, the unit moved to Camp Pelham in Song Ju Ri, then renamed it unofficially to Garry Owen! 4-7 Cav stayed there till 2004, then moved to their present location; Camp Hovey.

1988, 4-7 Cav was re-designated to 5-17 Cav. Then in 1996, 5-17 was re-designated back to 4-7 Cav!
