This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

The combination of strong wind gusts, low humidity, high Haines
indices, and dry fuels in Fremont County this afternoon, will result
in high fire danger. There will also be critical fire weather
conditions at the lower elevations of Chaffee County for a few hours
this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Strong winds will continue during the day on Wednesday, and with
relative humidity remaining low, high fire danger will develop
across much of the region during the afternoon and evening.

A strong cold front will move quickly through Colorado Wednesday
night, followed by the coldest air of the fall season for Thursday
into Friday. Temperatures by early Friday morning will fall into
the teens to mid 20s at most lower elevations, while high mountain
temperatures drop into the single digits. A chance of snow will
also accompany the colder air Thursday and Thursday evening, with
several inches of accumulation possible over higher elevations,
including the Palmer Divide, Teller County and the central
mountains.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters will be not be needed today or tonight.
