FT Lee, FT Stewart, or FT Riley?
I have about 7 months left in Korea and emailed my branch manager (68W) to see what assignments are available. She replied with these options (plus 3 others that I'd rather avoid), and I'm wondering which would be best for myself and my family. I'm honestly a little suspicious that there are only 6 possible options for a 68W E-5, but I have to work with what I've got at the moment. Any experiences or information would be much appreciated.

I posted about this earlier but I figured I'd add the other duty station options as well. So when I emailed my branch manager (68W) she replied with these potential choices of duty station. However, I can apparently only set them as preferences in ASK and not actually pick one. Anyway, I was just wanting some input on these locations. Also, I spent 2.5 years at Campbell and would rather avoid going back.

Just a Marine and I’ve never been to the others. Fort Lee is a nice base, big, large hospital with lots of specialties, good amenities, lots of new construction. The immediate neighborhood will remind you of the Hollywood depictions of slums, but the metro area of Richmond is 1.6 million people—you’ll find every restaurant, interest, novelty, hobby, movie, everything. A major airport, too. And that’s just Richmond! Attractions like Norfolk and D.C. are only two hours away. Plus, it’s Virginia, so if all you want is nature, it’s in virtually every direction from Richmond. You’ve got a 4,000-foot mountain range two hours west, and the beach two hours to the east. All in all, I think it’s a good place to be stationed and live.
