From 1954 to 1957 this was off base housing for Navy enlisted families near Pearl Harbor. My dad, mom, myself, my younger brother and two younger sisters got to 'enjoy' their benefits. There was a banana tree at the rear corner complete with enormous spiders. The end unit next to us was occupied by a civilian missionary and his family. We were just downhill from Johnson Heights which featured much larger, nicer wood frame homes on the hill. Just a short commute to the base. Bathing was in a galvanized steel washtub on the back porch.

PO1 Tony Holland They Served Our Country Well for a Very Long Time. I remember the Ones in Adak from WWII that had been converted to Division Party Huts. Ours had a Nice Bar Small Fire Place beside the Bar, Bigger Fireplace Middle Front with Couches around. Wonderful Memories.
