That headline lacks clarity. I'm assuming the sheriff is saying Barstow officers shot man suspected of carjacking a couple and then shot at them, correct?

The carjacker stole a vehicle and crashed it into a couple of cars, he then carjacked an undamaged car, he fled from police until they did a PIT maneuver on him. He jumped out of the vehicle and started to run, turned around and raised his firearm toward the deputies. They shot him.
