A man tried to drown a deputy in a pond as he was being arrested for murder, the Clearwater Police Department says.
Now, he faces charges for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer in addition to a first-degree murder charge.
Joshua Henderson was arrested in connection to a shooting Friday that left a woman dead inside a car in Clearwater.
According to police Friday, officers got word of a shooting at 3:12 p.m. near Otten Street and Weston Drive in Clearwater. When they got there, a woman was found dead from a gunshot wound inside a car.
Now, he faces charges for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer in addition to a first-degree murder charge.

Oh, but I am sure his Mama says he's a good boy and he wouldn't do anything like that.
Sorry, but if you have killed someone and then attempt to kill an Officer trying to arrest you Society as a whole does not need this person in it. If found guilty he deserves Life without possibility of Parole.

A lot of these attempts on police are directly related to politicians continuing their anti-police rhetoric. I'm no saying that was the case here, but so many officers have been murdered due to the political efforts to undermine police.
