A white supremacist mass shooter in Buffalo killed 10 people and wounded another three — 11 of whom were Black — and left behind a manifesto that clearly indicated he had been inspired to commit his crime by the "Great Replacement Theory”.
The accused Buffalo shooter's manifesto echoes ideas that are becoming fairly standard in conservative ideology, thanks in no small part to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Mr Carlson, who helms the most-watched political opinion programme in the country, has frequently pushed the Great Replacement Theory during his shows. A compilation of him touting the ideas recently went viral on social media.

He left a screed by a mentally ill person. Contradictory and nonsensical. He threatened to kill students at his high school graduation. He underwent mental a evaluation. He was investigated by the FBI. Why was he allowed to buy guns? He should have been flagged.

Flagging people to prevent them from buying firearms? What about the 2nd Amendment? Do you feel this person should not have been able to legally purchase a gun?

MSgt Steve Sweeney - I feel some people should be flagged and they can appeal. There were multiple instances where he threatened mass violence. I am a strong 2nd amendment advocate. But when you have some one repeatedly threatening mass violence, well there should be guard rails. The shooter in the South Carolina church got a weapon because of a clerical error . The Shooter in the Texas church was dishonorably discharged, some kind of screw up allowed him to get a weapon.

LTC David Brown - Apparently you are not a very strong 2A advocate. Believe me, I know some, and none of them would consent to "flagging". What if he already had firearms? You think someone should take them away, or do any firearms he or his family may have sort of get "grandfathered"? Do you feel because he was investigated he is automatically guilty of something? Trump was investigated by the FBI. I bet you wouldn't have a problem with him owning guns.
