At the Lincoln Police Department, we know we can’t do our job alone. That’s why we’ve been dedicated to community-based policing since 1975. It’s not a program or policy, but a commitment to a set of values used to guide our law enforcement efforts.

LPD officers work cooperatively with individual citizens, groups and organizations to identify and resolve issues through a combination of prevention, early identification and intervention. It’s a proactive approach designed to help us make a lasting impact in neighborhoods all across the city of Lincoln.
