How the organization supports veterans

Team Veteran Foundation Wellness Clinics will provide a path towards total wellness for our Veterans and their families by providing a comprehensive body, mind and spirit experience. Team Veteran Foundation Wellness Clinics’ valuable programs help Veterans and their families through Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine therapies. Integrative Medicine is healing oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person (body, mind and spirit) including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphases the therapeutic relationships and makes use of all appropriate therapies both conventional and alternative.

The current VA protocol for the treatment of a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) is the use of psychotropic drugs. There are NO double-blind studies to prove the efficacy of the 50 psychotropic drugs for the treatment of TBI so all of those drugs are "off-label" and only 5 of these drugs are "on-label" to treat PTS.

Help develop the Team Veteran Foundation Wellness Clinics. These clinics will utilize Integrative medicine therapies focusing on the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) chambers to treat Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Once the brain injury is physically healed then other non-drug therapies to treat Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) can be utilized like psychotherapy, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, nutrition, and emotional guidance. Other keys to healthy living include yoga, meditation, relaxology, aromatherapy, equine therapy, service animals and guide dogs.
