This will be my first ship in the fleet. I just graduated from a school and I'm kinda scared. I jus wanna know how things are there and is it easy to adapt.

I did my last cruise on the Truman and it was my most enjoyable cruise. That was back in 2002, but have known a lot of people that have served on her since that say she has not changed. Life in general on a Carrier is much easier than one might think. There are so many opportunities onboard these days that will keep you completely occupied. You will meet new and amazing people. Some of the best in the Navy. Listen and learn your first few months and it will become easier as time passes. The hardest part will be learning your way around but within weeks you will have that mastered and be able to go any where on a moments notice.

What is your rating? Other than getting lost a lot in the first few weeks, it is like any duty that you have had prior. Follow instruction, get your qualifications completed, and enjoy...
