So I posted about two Civilian displays of other worldly Athleticism ...I thought two of the things I witnessed on Active Duty should get posted too. We had a kid from Oklahoma ...farm boy, six foot five, 230 pounds. And when we had to take the 4.2 inch Mortar Base Plate off the side of our track....well, he just balanced on his knee, unscrewed the lodging bolts and then asked us where to put it.
Yikes.
The other was in a gym fight. It is a long story, but basically a guy pulled a gun on the Gym Manager. The Gym manager didn't take kindly to that. Took the gun away, put the guys head in between the bleachers that rolled up to the wall, and bashed the guys head with the bleachers.
The MP's came in, and one of them swung his Nightstick with a baseball like swing and it splintered against the Gym Manager's skull. It left a cut, and head wounds bleed... a lot. But the Gym Manager merely looked up at the frozen in Position MP and said:
"Get out of here. I ain't go no problem with you."
And I never want to fight that guy ...ever.
