Another option if you don't want the Officer route is Warrant as a 120A. Very competitive school.
OTOH, being double gaited, I would highly recommend the Engineer Branch if you are going to commission. While it wasn't the physical challenge of being light infantry, even as a reservist the Army generally keeps Engineers very busy and my favorite job in the Army was CO of a Combat Engineer Company (Mech).

You could potentially fit in a couple areas, but it depends on what you are looking to do. If you are looking at the power generation and commercial power portion of electrical engineering, then becoming an engineer branch officer and working your way over to a USACE side to work prime power, in a district, or in a center of excellence may be good for you. You will need patience to tough out your company grade assignments until you would be ready for a USACE assignment.

If your interest is in boards, buses, and chips then you could branch Signal or Ordnance with an eye to become an acquisition officer. You will end up at places at like Aberdeen, Picatinny, Watervilet, and Rock Island working on new hardware and proving out new technology.

You may also want to look at different functional areas vice branches. I believe Electronic Warfare is accepting commissioned officers now. You may also want to look at MI. At the tactical level they have officers doing (29A) electronic warfare.

Regardless of your choice, you need to run, not walk to the nearest place you can take the FE exam and start logging experience so you can become a PE as quickly as possible. I painfully regret not getting the FE exam Andy now I am trying to sort it out at 45 years old as a senior manager. It blows. Get your FE/PE.

Don't know if this is an updated list of Functional Areas or not. You choose a functional area at either mid Captain years or at the transition from Captain to Major. https://www.thebalance.com/army-officer-functional-area-careers-3356650
