Provided operational military support to civil authorities for potential and/or actual terrorist use of weapons of mass destruction [WMDs] involving chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) materials, weapons and/or devices. Performed studies, prepared reports and conducted briefings on weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) incidents and training exercises. While wearing appropriate level of personal protective equipment (PPE) led and supervised reconnaissance (entry) teams into environments with threat of immediate death, life and health (IDLH) possibilities for sampling unknown materials, analysis of hazardous substances and emergency remediation and containment operations. Advised manager (company commander), supervisors and staff of an aviation traffic control unit on matters related to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defensive operations. Initiated field tests and overlayed those results to maps for determining possible locations of contamination. Supervised and evaluated unit's proficiency in NBC defense protective apparel, detection and decontamination equipment use, equipment maintenance and readiness. Oversaw and monitored gross and detail decontamination efforts. Advised and consulted with medical personnel on treatment protocols for possible exposure.
