My passion is maintenance. My goal is to own/run my own shop. Property accountability and proper maintenance and utilization are key to military success. Use of the maintenance processes are paramount to maintenance success. I've served as a Special purpose equipment/ laundry and bath repairer 63J (now 91J), motor transport operator (88M), unit armorer(92Y), and wheel mech. (91B). GO ORDNANCE!!! My first civilian maintenance gig, where I realized my passion was in a congressionally "excepted" position as a temporary DA civilian Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer (MOS 63S, WG-8) from February 2005 to February 2006.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of wheeled vehicles and support equipment in support of Civil Affairs operations. Provide technical expertise to the operation and operator maintenance of a fleet of 80-150 wheeled vehicles in a battalion motorpool.

Accountable for the training and supervision of up to ten mechanic personnel in the un-scheduled repair maintenance of a fleet of over 250 pieces (rolling stock) as the unscheduled maintenance NCO. Assigned toolboxes to team members, assigned tasks and guided the accomplishment o said tasks. Conducted low density sergeants' time training and counseled subordinates on personal and professional performance. As a Maintenance Support Team Leader, provided support to training operations and managed personnel of other mechanical specialties than wheeled vehicles.

Directly responsible for the accountability of over 12 million dollars worth of government property in the form of small arms, crew serve weapons, and supporting field equipment for combat (training) operations. As a unit armorer, I assigned individual and crew serve weapons to platoons and students, stored privately owned weapons for students, maintained weapons to include regularly scheduled gauging of weapons, opened work orders for higher level repairs, maintained various optics and supported company supply sergeant. Disbanded, turned in 100% of all supplies and materials with no loss.
