Bio

Dustin had a short time in the military working with some of the best aircraft fuel system maintainers there were. Dustin deployed to South Korea in 2007 and visited the DMZ technically crossing into North Korea in the blue buildings. Dustin distinguished himself outside the military by being a blogger on mental health, veteran issues, and political issues. Though it will likely go unacknowledged Dustin was a catalyst for having the VA include all 50 states in their reports on suicides. Dustin blogged about the fact that the VA used incomplete data to accompany their reports on the suicide issue. His posts were in the Huffington Post. Dustin is a life member of the VFW, participates with IAVA, and has been a veteran's advocate. Dustin was recently mentioned by Fox News for exposing Iowa state employees who were deceiving veterans to lobby against the 9/11 families JASTA (Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Bill), of which, the Iowa state employees were being funded by Saudis and did not relay this fact to veterans. Dustin worked with Terry Strada and Bryan McClinchey to put a stop to this. Dustin enjoys going out to Tenkiller lake on his seadoo. He'd do more extreme things if he had the money to afford his adrenaline desires.
