This article main topic is about public school superintendents not college or pros. The article goes further for fluff.

First off the groping statement was facetious.
Next, the state of Texas is a paranoid state where if you are not a "true" (republican) Christian you are wrong!!
Again why is a birth certificate verifying sex important? Most boys and girls are physically the same (gender excluded) until puberty whereas most boys begin to bulk up and girls have different changes. High school is where it makes a difference.

This just a precursor to avoiding the issue of gender reassigned kids being able to go to the bathroom?

It is discrimination against children with physical difference that have been changed beyond their control so you make them pariahs at a very young age. Forcing them to prove who they are. Next thing will be show me you are not a boy/grill

Mind you, I said nothing about adults these are children

This response is for all who disagree

True transgenders, post surgery, also take hormone therapy which gives them secondary sexual characteristics of the gender they're going to.

Further, someone truly transgender, MTF, isn't doing it to be able to cop a peek at cisgender women in various states of undress. Would you CHOOSE to be transgender today? No, you wouldn't, because you wouldn't want to go through the ostracism and hate.

This is about people wanting to dictate to others on who they are.

I cannot imagine it would survive a lawsuit. It's discriminating against a recognized group. The re-assignment surgery is just that. "It's a boy." Or "It's a girl." Re-assignment" not confusing.

The gender isn't claimed. It is the gender. There might be a challenge based on unfair advantage on body type - musculoskeletal, but not vagina v. Penis and the respective inclusion or lack thereafter.
