59 people are killed and hundreds are wounded in Las Vegas. Hundreds of people are killed in Chicago in an area that has Democratic Party control, Democratic Party ideas and strict gun controls yet it seems like it's like Lebanon. The number of murders in Chicago in 2016 is 762 and some or many from shootings.. 3551 shooting incidents and 4330 shootng victims in 2016. The highest in 19 years. Chicago has a gang problem and some kind of shooting every other hour. Hillary Clinton is pandering and talking about gun control yet that city has strict gun control but an out-of-control gang problem for decades. Gangs will steal weapons one way or the other. I do recal reading recently that gang members in another city used a weapon stolen from a police officer's vehicle. The do-gooders of the Democrats and gun-control lobby don't realize that gangs will get weapons one way or the other and only law-abiding people will be punished by this type of laws being passed. I feel sorry for the people who got wounded and killed in Las Vegas. I felt sad decades ago when people were burned and killed from the MGM Grand fire. It just takes a wacko to do this. Remembering Full Metal Jacket that the gunny mentioned that the sniper at the Texas University sniper incident was a former marine sniper. He had a brain tumor and he killed his family before coming to the university. SWAT was formed because of that killing spree where the police did not have a SWAT team. It's funny how we have gun control in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York yet it's still out of control especially in Chicago. I love States like Utah, Idaho, and others that have gun permits in the same place as your DMV. Liberals don't want to hear this, but I would rather be in a state that has reasonable weapons laws that benefits the good citizens instead of just giving the advantage to the criminals like Illinois has. My condolences to the families of those that were affected by those wounded or killed at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

you don't have to steal guns to get them in Chicago. The gun control laws only apply within the city limits. You can go a quarter mile across the city limit line and find guns shops lined up that will sell you guns as easily as you can find a pawn shop or used car dealership outside of an Army post.

Many of those with weapons in Chicago have multiple felony raps. They are not going a quarter mile away and buying weapons from a legal gun store. The shop owner has to run federal background checks and likely local ones as well. He would lose his firearms dealer license if he sold weapons to convicted felons.
They are buying them on the street illegally. They might be stolen or trafficked from other areas into Chicago but the bottom line is the criminals will find a way to get a gun. They are criminals, the do not care a bit about the gun control laws on the books or those being proposed by democrat politicians locally or nationally.

If, as liberals claim, gun violence in Chicago is due to guns being brought in from outside of Chicago, it begs the question of why Chicago-style gun violence doesn't happen in the places those guns come from.

LTC (Join to see) I am so tempted to jump all over this thread with my pro gun beliefs, but Ive already beat that horse to death. I just wish people would stop blaming the weapon and put the blame where it belongs-with the idiot using the weapon.
