I have wasted time ordering flags, attempting to get a quality that was as good as the burial flag presented to us when my father died and I was 8 years old. I found this website about 5 years ago. I decided to call and place an order for a burial flag in the cherry case when I saw their flags are made in the USA AND made to Government Specifications. I hope the site is useful to someone.

Great share. Something that many people don't realize, but you can contact any of your congressional delegation and get a flag that has flown over the capital. You can even request certain specific date for the flag to be flown if you plan well ahead. We would always request a flag flown on a person's birthday for retirement ceremonies. Lots of places to get wooden cases, so you don't need to get a combo deal from a commercial vendor.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I have found it to be true that not knowing how to acquire something is an inconvenience. So, for the customer service, convenience of finding a vendor that adhered to the Americanism tradition and government specs, I found it to be perfect. I even talked with the owner and ordered via telephone. The fact that the business was established to honor a WW2 veteran was awesome. The convenience of ordering the combo in honor of my father whose flag got ruined over the years was most important to me. It would be nice to get a flag that has been flown over the capitol. But I can imagine it is not easy and quick.
