Utilizing therapeutic qualities in animals, such as dogs and horses, is not a new concept. However, veterans in Florida have taken things in a whole new direction and use birds of prey as a therapeutic method to treat post-traumatic stress. Over the past 7 years, more than 4,000 veterans have been paired with various birds that have experienced injury in the wild! It is awesome to see the variety of ways veterans have found to aid in the treatment of PTS.
