Man, those old battles were just brutal. Face-to-face & hand-to-hand. The trauma caused by those fights had to be worse than today's battles.

Surprised they left out the three killer first world war battles
1. Paschendale - 800k casualties
2. Verdun - 970k casualties
3. Somme - 1200000 casualties
They also left out Berlin which "starts" at around 300 - 400k Russian dead.
