You can pretty much get ANY technical role without a degree, once you cross over to management hiring managers will like to see degrees or related certifications, but then again, tech is one of the few fields that a degree isn't what it seems to be.... This is coming from a 21 year old working at AWS with no degree

The tech changes so quickly much of any tech degree is obsolete in a few years. The other side of that coin is that you can expect to need to keep yourself up to date with changing technologies for the rest of your career. If you love it, that will be natural. If it is just a job, the continual learning will likely burn you out.

Luckily I love it.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - What I have found to be useful is coursework that helps me understand the problem domain I are trying to solve. I work for a consulting company and we primarily write business apps of one stripe or another. My MBA has been extremely useful, and continues to be useful, in understanding what exactly it is that should be built and why.

Learning Cobol and RPG 20+ years ago, not nearly as useful.
