10 Things We Learned During Our First Firefight

I found it to be incredibly loud, disorganized and terrifying until a certain SFC Aubrey Smith started yelling to "return fire and move forward goddamn it", this was the same Sergeant we all had during our training back at Ft.Lewis so we tended to follow his commands especially when the "goddamn it "was used, that meant he was serious!

I read this earlier. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Though I was never a ground-pounder, I admire the total cohesion of an Army infantry unit.

I barely remember my first firefight. It was an event that happened, I remember the place...but the details are already a dim memory. One incident became another and they all sort of blend together. Maybe I just have a bad memory.
