I’ve had its competitor, the Impossible burger at Burger King. It’s not outstanding, but it’s not bad. McDonalds is still serving meat and this is simply an alternative.
I also served under a Lieutenant Colonel who deployed to Afghanistan and became a vegetarian afterwards.

You can't just lay that last sentence out there bleaching in the sun. There's a back story right? :-))

CWO4 Terrence Clark - He lost interest in meat after his deployment. I speculate he either had a bad experience with contractor DFAC meat or may have been bitten by a bug that causes allergic reaction to meat after recovery.

I've tried Beyond Meat. Mixed reviews. The breakfast sausage is actually quite good, the burgers, not so much

Lt Col Charlie Brown In 2016 my AC1 shot up to 6.8. almost overnight. Lo-carb lifestyle (KETO sounds too trendy) dropped the AC1 to 5.2 within 3 months where it has stayed. There's a weight loss component there too. Primarily because NOTHING tastes as good as starchy foods and sugar. (Unlimited bacon is a plus) These good smelling, good tasting fauxburgers are made of peas, rice and potatoes. Darn!
