Lot of truth there. I have tried to forego, the swearing, but I said some bad words to my computer today! Sorry....

Number 1... True beyond words. In my civilian job we were waiting to be sent home. Sometimes it takes an hour. After working the hard and that long you want to sleep. Well the only open spot to rest aside from two chairs and a table all shared by 50 people at once is a segment of railing in the center of the room. It's hard, round, and the same size as typical indoor stair railing. I'd lay face down on that, clinging like a koala bear and it was lights out in no time flat. Everyone was beyond amazed that not only I didn't fall but I looked profoundly comfortable while I slept.
All the rest are sadly true, save for 6. I make exception for some particular service members I've known.

PFC Ariel Granet, When you're tired, it doesn't matter where you are. When i first got to Vietnam, our hooch was a dirt floor. I slept on a cardboard C Ration boxes, even when the rats were crawling on me. Then one night I got bit on my toe. Had a hard time falling asleep after that. lol

Oh God, rats.... That's horrible. My grandfather served in Vietnam and retired after 22 years in the Army yet he never talks about anything. I've only heard bits and pieces of the hell that service members endured.

Never run when you can walk, never walk when you can stand still, never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lay down and never stay awake when you can sleep.
