Their point is that the federal government can only own land Constitutionally in a very limited capacity, but our government no longer follows the Constitution. That's a problem.

Since they are looking for publicity, why not tell the press to go home and remove all LEOs. What could be accomplished by a few protesters that are in an abandoned cabin. Hell, let them move in until spring. What is to be the use of force to evict them? The losses are self inflicted. No gunfights if no one to gunfight with.

They could have ignored them being there! The Building was closed for the winter anyway.

SGT (Join to see) Their objective is probably to remain in the news. Interesting article and concept.

CPT (Join to see), Even then, they aren't in the news very often. Bunch of idiots packing heat for no reason they can control.

SGT (Join to see) - Aren't these folks related to the ranchers in Nevada that did the same thing over a similar issue?

CPT (Join to see), It's the same people, different land. The protest in Nevada was done by Clive Bundy over failing to pay for a permit to allow his cattle to graze on Federal land. Here's the link to that: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundy_standoff
Now Bundy is in jail over being convicted of setting fire to the Federal land in Oregon. Sounds like Bundy enjoys harassing the Feds.
