SSgt Robert Marx I believe that if we lower the Federal Tax rate on businesses we can become more dependent on ourselves and not be so dependent on other nations and the alliances!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - That we will. I hope that you are right, but think that a sunrise in the western sky is about as likely.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I hear both of you. However, our military was so depleted the last eight years I feel investing more into building them back up is a real need. I also think an adjustment in tax laws will benefit everyone.

SPC Douglas Bolton - I think that we became so used to a maasice military that it became habit and the norm, Our military has shrunken a built, but is it smaller than it rational needs to be. I like the idea that the US military can overwhelm any attacker of the US or of any of our allies, things are more peaceful that way, but once we are that powerful do we need to m be multiple times again that powerful? For example what Navy in the world would survive a fight with a SINGLE carrier battle group for more a a day or so? Perhaps the Russians but that is it, even if you include our allies

Thanks for reminding us SSgt Robert Marx that as global power shifts, Washington needs a new strategy, and a new way of managing its alliances.
