Often the militias in the revolutionary war did not want to fight linear battles, therefore, on our behest, they fought like they lived; in the deep forest, with good aim, and a musket twice the range of the British. The British had a hard time finding the militia as they melted back to where they came from.

The tab is a great honor due to those who have gone before. I know it's not an authorized tab but I keep mine and wear it proudly on my ALR vest.

Thanks COL Ted Mc for sharing the sniper’s evolution from villain to hero,
The enemy sniper has long been loathed by those of us who were ground forces. On the other hand we cheer when one of our own snipers takes out a prominent and hated enemy combatant. It takes incredible patient to be a successful sniper in addition to skill with a powerful weapon.
