Back in my time we were not "allowed" a public political opinion. We were not allowed to endorse any candidate openly and faced repercussions if we did so...

He was there out of uniform in a civilian capacity, which is acceptable. He just punched a protester in the face, which is not acceptable. This same protester was accompanied by someone in a KKK hood, so I can see where that would agitate people. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
