He won't be able to until he completes all of his annual training, BitS, MarineNet classes, SAPR/EO in preparation for the run..... the FRO needs to authorize this!!
On a serious note, isn't it too late for this anyways?

I echoed this concern on other similar topics (both here on RP and FB) - this all sounds great and dandy, but we have NO clue what his views, stance, policies and procedures would be! We just assume/think because he was the way he was in the military GREAT by default for this position. I wish I could say otherwise, but that would be like picking another public or significant figure from any other occupation, and nominating him to be the POTUS because he was popular or excellent in his job, or both... To me, it would be like suggesting David Haselhoff to be POTUS, because of his stunning looks, tons of chicks he ran through, and ultimately... it's the HOFF! I need to know more about the issues he would be for and against!

Well that would be a little game-changer wouldn't it.....! Like the first two comments : one) A Marine General President ! Wow. two) It may be too late in the game 3) there's always a 3...Stranger things have happened, especially during this election process!
