Medical helicopter hit by reckless driver

I am a volunteer firefighter and EMT for a small rural volunteer fire department. In the over 100 years of our Department's history we've had 17 injuries that required medical treatment at a hospital. 16 were caused by people who disregarded road blocks and struck an EMT or firefighter. Two of those 16 were fatalities A third rendered a 23 year old firefighter a quadriplegic. Our Sheriff's Dept. now deploys spike strips once they assume control of the road blocks. Please obey traffic control measures and watch the road, not the accident.
