They are all based on technology and discoveries either developed directly by NASA, in partnership with NASA, or through funding from NASA.

One NASA patent was a device to correct power factor for small electric motors to lower the operating costs. That was implemented in a lot of commercial products, as well as an inline device to use with older products.
