I am not surprised that it has taken 2 years for the VA to fire "Lance Robinson, the Phoenix VA’s associate director; Brad Curry, formerly chief of Health Administration Service; and Chief of Staff Dr. Darren Deering for negligent performance of duties and failure to provide effective oversight for not ensuring veterans were either properly scheduled for appointments or placed on an appropriate wait list" SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
Since it takes the VA a fairly long time to resolve many claims it would be inconsistent if they didn't take this long to ensure they dotted the "i"s and crossed each "t" to ensure the investigation and recommendation passed administrative and legal muster :-)

LTC Stephen F. the good ole VA taking its time to make sure the they dotted the "i"s and crossed each "t" to ensure the investigation and recommendation passed administrative and legal muster :-). I agree profoundly with the investigation-which IMO was the way ahead to set the example for the executives of the Veterans Affairs.

It is a shame they can't get the two years of pay returned. I am not sure I concur that it takes two years to conclude an investigation.

Before their firings "Lance Robinson, who was assistant director of the Phoenix VA Health Care System, and Brad Curry, the Phoenix Health Administration services chief, have new jobs at the Phoenix VA after 19 months on paid administrative leave, according to VA officials." [According to another thread.]

Don't pop the corks yet. The MSPB has a great record overturning any firings brought before them.

Disgusting how long it takes the government to act. Either do it or move on, but stop dragging things out and wasting tax dollars
