Let's see how long they last. A bunch of soft prima donna's. It will not take long even with air conditioning and catered food and all kinds of flattering coverage.

SP5 Christine Conley There is no history repeating itself here. There were 4 votes. They lost them all. This is a temper tantrum, democrat style. They are not trying to right a wrong using civil disobedience, they are mad because they lost a fair vote. It is really simple.

LTC (Join to see) they are in violation of their oath of office that clearly states "I will support and defend the constitution" They should be impeached, and kicked out like the disgraces that they are. That doesn't just go for them. It goes for all in the House and Senate who have taken that oath, and yet seem perfectly willing to allow our rights to be whittled away in the interest of "safety"

SP5 Christine Conley - The right does not belong to the government. the RIGHT belongs to the people. The reason for giving the right to the people is that the people may be called upon to defend the nation from enemies up to and including a tyrannical government. It is not their place to throw a tantrum because they didn't get their way. That is definitely not what they are supposed to do. They filibustered for a vote. A vote was taken. They lost the vote. Move on. It isn't rock paper scissors where they can just say best two out of three, best 4 of 7 best 5 of 9 and so on until they get a result they like. They tried to get a bad law passed. A law that would have taken an arbitrary list that was only found constitutional because air travel is not a constitutionally protected right, and allowed that to be used to disqualify firearm purchases.
I really hate that liberal morons in Washington go after guns first. They didn't go after box cutters in the wake of September 11th. They didn't go after Fertilizer sales in the wake of Oklahoma City. They didn't go after Fireworks or pressure cookers in the wake of Boston Marathon. But one psycho shows up with a gun and they lose their shit. Maybe they should consider that it is the mindset that is a problem not the implement they use to act on that mindset.
Additionally, SP5 Christine Conley none of my anger is directed at you personally. My anger is directed at these people in DC who are clueless, and not even aware how clueless they are.

SP5 Christine Conley It's the right of the people to keep and bear arms that is not to be infringed, not the right of the states to have militias.

Your understanding of "well regulated" is not what the Framers meant when they wrote the term. For example, a well-regulated clock is one that works properly and keeps time properly, not one that conforms to all the latest California safety regulations.

SP5 Christine Conley What are you talking about? That IS the original wording. The 2nd Amendment hasn't changed since it was adopted as part of the Bill of Rights.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

A well-regulated militia is a group of people who are proficient in the use of arms, meaning they have to have weapons that function well, and they have to have the skills to use them well.

Ohhh to be in Washington right now, Id take them all Baby beanies, blankets and baby bottles full of juice. Then id make as many condescending remarks about there entitled arrogance, They protest in one of the most secure buildings protected by people with guns. Their kids are in private schools protected by people with guns, they live in gated communities protected by people with guns, they have a thousand forms protecting them at all times. What are the surfs of this nation to do to protect them selves? How is disarming us make a safer Nation? How is infringing on my rights going to make life safer?

The day I see Obamas daughters be Ambassadors in Benghazi with the same security detail as Chris Stephens, the day I see Chelsea Clinton ride the subway in the Bronx with no police or security, the day I see congress and the House beholden to what the average American deals with then I will believe they are really interesting in our safety.

Will that day happen no, you can not even get them to admit Orlando was a terrorist attack. Its all an agenda to disarm the people. I have read to much History to ever allow that on my watch.
