We need to keep putting the V.A. on Blast when they do this shit, That's the only way they change. put them on facebook, twitter, all the social media sites and on news media sites. the more they are on Blast the more civilians and the House and and Congress. We all know the old saying "Out of Site , Out of Mind" we can't let them get out of site out of mind.

LCpl Steve Smith, You're correct and the VA has tried to stay out site and mind, but it's too late now for that. The vets are fed up with the corruption, and lies.

SGT (Join to see) It's never to late to put the V.A. Back in the Spotlight, The Hard part is Keeping them There...Oh Yes I agree wholeheartedly that our Fellow vets are fed up with the Corruption and Lies, As many of us that can Blast about the V.A. should...I know like when I was active and looking at the V.A. We didn't have social networks to look at and get advice from. But even more so with social network these young people in here can see stuff like this and don't want anything to do wit the V.A. and they have never been to one. Our job when we can is to try to help make the V.A. Change it's S.O.P. and make improvements so these people coming out now don't have to deal with the V.A. most of us older Vets have had to. Hell it was just what 2-3 years ago they started authorizing more Vietnam Vets Claims. We need to do all we can to keep them on Blast or regular Americans will forget and slowly the pressure on the politicians will Vanish, letting the V.A. the ability to continue to provide unsatisfactory care. I my self have been treated well by the V.A., But I know I'm not in the Majority in that area so I try to help make a change to where every Vet is treated well like I have been.

LCpl Steve Smith, Very well stated. Except for the cancellation problem I had, I've been treated really well. One problem with the new kids on the block, is they get very vocal and rude to the clerks trying to help them. I've always been very polite and kissed some ass and that's why I'm liked, remembered by name, and don't have any issues with the VA. If these new guys would listen to what they need for a disability or even to get in the system, be polite, and help themselves with being polite and friendly. I'm 100% and I'm not going to do anything to ruin that. I'll sure help if they want my help but I've been told several times, they don't need my help. They're young and fresh off the war plane, and are confused and scared.

Saw them do the same thing to my Grandfather and his Vet Friends out in Spokane WA. We would drive 2 hours from ID only to find all their appointments had been canceled. They do it to make life hard for the vets and play paperwork games. The Corruption at the VA will never end until they are ALL fired.

There's something not right with those people. I wonder if the VA sends them to school to learn how to jack with veterans. I was concerned about stirring up too much crap because they're in control of my benifits.

Is it really stirring it up when all you are doing is pointing out Truth and Fact? I'm 41 I helped my Grandfather and his friends at the age of 13 navigate the VA. I did not understand what I was seeing back then I just remember what happened. I put it all together now with all the current scandals and the Truth is reveled. The VA Administration's Admin department is 100% about screwing Vets over. They will play any paper trail game, any appointment game, any waitlist game, anything anyway to cheat the metrics and numbers so on paper they look good. They do not care about us. They care about their 6 fig salaries, retirement packages, and raises.

Congress needs to act and terminate EVERYONE at the VA that works in Administration. Keep the Nurse's, and Doctors but fire the Admin department. Replace them with Vets on a military pay scale, and active duty people. Kill the 6 fig salaries for government employees it only leads to corruption, and make it so you can actually FIRE people.

This is the very reason I hate the VA and will have nothing to do with them. It took them a year to get me an exam for my disability claim. The entire organization should be fired and staffed with Veterans and not bureaucrats.

I can't argue with that Capt Robert Chewning. I'm fortunate to be enrolled in the VA system as I'm too old now to find a job or get insurance. I have no other option but to stick it out and hope it's overhauled some day. It probably won't be in my lifetime, if it happens at all.
