I think it's a smart move. One can learn a lot more by snooping on someone's social media accounts than knocking on neighbors' doors.

I'm not sold on this. There is an expectation of privacy unless you're promoting hate or violent speech. Maybe I'd have to see what the end result comes to be other than Big Brother checking out your twiter, FB, and whatever Social Media sites.
