this would be the 3rd time in less than 24 hours Nara has just popped up in conversation. Incredible place. Was there a couple of years ago and one of the deer grabbed my map out of my hand. Next thing I know my boss is trying to bribe the deer with a cookie. I am asking him what he is doing and he says "it works with my lab"

I was interviewing someone yesterday for a position we have open and we were talking travel and they had recently been to Japan so we started talking about that and Nara got mentioned by the candidate. I asked for thoughts and was told, lots of deer. Then at dinner last night I was talking to a Japanese girl next to me and I was telling her what happened earlier in the day. She told me that was one of her favorite things to do as a child.
