the article had a pol at the bottom to ask if the reader thought college carry is a good idea. I do, kids are already carrying on college campuses.

Soft targets like college "campi" (a little "Rush" lingo there) need to be able to incorporate effective defensive action just the same as any other law abiding American citizen. SGT (Join to see) LTC William Smith

They still have to train for that, more than once, SSG William Jones. I mean, we're combat trained and have experience in facing life and death danger. They aren't, and have never shot at human being, much less, killed a human being. They can't freeze up. If they do, they're dead. Agree?

Open carry on campus goes into effect today at UT. The survival policy is: Shoot, move, & communicate..

Is that right Capt Tom Brown ? Is there an age limit ? Do they have to be 21 to carry? This can be good or it can be catastrophic, depending on how well trained they are. The worst that could happen is having an itchy trigger finger, or the bad guy takes away the gun from the student. This concerns me because my oldest granddaughter attends UT.

What is the disadvantage to learning when students are allowed to conceal carry?

And to the Gov's statement, just because it has been prohibited in the past doesn't mean that it is right to continue that prohibition today.
