As a distance runner I tell people hydration should be constant. If you wait until your thirsty...it is too late.

Water for me,gave up soda years ago,but would like to give a very late thank you to those elementary school kids that sent us Kool Aid packages in good old RVN was the only thing that could cut the taste of the water purification tabs.

Last time I drank a soda pop was about 12 years ago. I would be more thirsty after drinking it than before. I drink a lot of water and probably too much coffee. Oh yea, I enjoy a nice cold beer in the evenings when I get back from work. During the day, I will drink around 2 liters or more of water, depending on the heat and how much I got to do.
