SFC William Farrell - I use my tricare. Yes it costs me but I get care when I walk in. I only go to the VA once a year to maintain my eligibility.

SFC (Join to see) - I agree SFC (Join to see) as I try to stick with my Tricare. I use VA dental and get my meds through the VA since they can get expensive even with low copays. Thanks.

SFC William Farrell - If your civilian PCM has better meds they think will work for you, Express Scripts is still free for us. It's worth looking into. A couple of the meds I was taking before retirement aren't on the VA schedule but Express scripts provides them to me.

I look at the dollar amounts they're quoting and can't help but wonder how the amount they used to "brainstorm" ideas to fix the VA system compares to how much they spend on helium or golf balls.
