10 Awful Civilian Jobs That Made Us Want To Reenlist

In the article it looks like about half were terrible jobs because of terrible bosses or lack of leadership. The saying "people leave managers not jobs" is true in my experience. I haven't had many private sector jobs, but I left two because of my boss, not the job itself.

The jobs listed are generally terrible jobs to begin with. Some of them even exist as a military career, but with standards, and better leadership.
