I don't get it, do you want segregation or not. Why can this be Vets for social justice. Stuff like this just helps keep the divide

While I get your argument, who are you referring to as "you" - me, blacks in general, or the organization? That negates your argument just a bit to generalize a group of people by the actions of few.

It is a group of black vets for the equal and fair treatment of all people no matter who they are, they can label themselves in the manner that they choose. Their mission however, isn't changed by their title.
