Sgt Kelli Mays, I've placed the lettuce bottom in 1" of water. We'll see what happens. If it works it will be great to feed to our Tortoise. It will save from going to the store all the time.

I know cabbage will start growing back, sometimes you get more then 1head growing back. If the lettuce was planted early enough yes it will grow back. I live on a farm, so it's normal to see.
