Never understood about the pocket thing. The Navy Dungarees solved the problem by sewing back pockets on the front. Not keeping your hands in those pockets.

They forgot the proper knife hand position, the front leaning rest position, the position of standing at attention or parade rest in formation while sleeping, dodging Art15 position, the smug "I have an appt or I did my phase two physical and don't GAF position (look up 1SG's choking the life out of you position),And everyone's favorite...the walking out of the BSB with your 214 in hand. They missed the coffee stance. E-7 and above with one hand on the hip and the coffee cup (not washed since making E-7) in the non lecturing hand in the event a sudden knife hand is necessary to drive home the point.
