Thanks for sharing the full cadet brigade pass-in-review to honor former FBI Director and USMC Vietnam Robert S. Mueller III for being awarded the 2016 Sylvanus Thayer Award Ken Kraetzer. When I was a USMA cadet I marched in many regimental and brigade pass in reviews. The full-dress grey over white uniforms look exactly way I remember them. It is interesting to see the cadets are still using the M-14s with bayonets affixed to parade with.

Likewise. Brought back many fond and not-so-fond memories. I saw only one smile in the entire PIR ... a company guidon bearer in, I believe, the 3d Regt. with a grin a mile wide. I did note a few disparities in D&C ... most but not all company commanders reversed to issue the command "left turn, march". Most battalion and regimental commanders did not reverse but a few did. Among those that didn't, the command was not uniformly issued over the same shoulder. Back in the day and perhaps still today, these things were graded. I don't recall whether reversing or over which shoulder one gives a command are optional. Don't know why I noticed. I'm certainly not a stickler for D&C. Good hearing The Thumper. I add my thanks to yours for the post.
