My 1968:
January to June, HQ, USAEUR Heidelberg, Germany
June to October, HQ, 3rd Army, Ft McPherson, GA
October to 1969, HQ, MACV, Republic of Vietnam
Some good times, some great times, some not so good times, some very bad times.

Even though I was 5 to 6 years old in 1968, being a history buff and flashing back to those times. 1968 had the assassination of Robert kennedy, Martin Luther King, Revolt in Czechoslovakia and 6 months of struggle with eventually Russia and other Warsaw Pact Nations sending in their forces and the czechoslovakian's fought back. Another example of why socialism doesn't work!
Great music, great muscle cars, limited smog controls on cars, the Apollo space program, Richard Nixon winning and promising to get the USA out of the Vietnam War. The Tet Offensive and Walter Cronkite giving up which led to Johnson not running for president. I saw the Laugh-In show that went from 1968 to 1973. I barely remember seeing the Vietnam War on TV but I do remember I dream of jeannie, dragnet, and I barely remember the Green Hornet which I think came out in 1967. I do remember Batman.
