Actually FO is Flash Override, F is Flash, I is Immediate! Yes I Remember Autovon. Yes I Remember Not even needing the Buttons since Whistling Could Accomplish what the buttons were supposed to.

Following my freshman year at San Jos State I spent the summer as a staff member at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico while the rest of my family was still at Tachikawa AFB in Japan. One evening the twin brother Catholic priests asked me to stop by their office. My dad had suffered a heart attack.They patched me through to the Autovon network at Fort Collins, Colorado. Amazingly, my dad answered from his hospital bed.
