2 Fort Carson soldiers nominated for Soldier's Medal

I hope they receive it MSG (Join to see) as they well deserve recognition for their heroism on what should have been a routine night. The Soldier's Medal is a beautiful medal and I instantly recognize it when I see it. I personally know one person who received it when I was on active duty at Fort Hood in the early 70's. We were on field duty and we had a helicopter crash. Our unit medic and I believe one or two others received it for rushing to the downed helicopter, rescuing and rendering first aid.

Well done, Gents. Very deserving indeed.
