I interesting link. This case seems more cut and dry because of the speech attendance but what if it was only the church membership that was the issue? Can the military prohibit membership in a certain religion?

I doubt they could prohibit membership in a certain religion, but they could prohibit membership in certain religious organizations when it crosses that line. For instance, the military could not prohibit you from being Christian and attending Christian services; however, if that organization practiced the beliefs of Christian Identity, they could probably prohibit your membership.

Seems like this could be a serious violation of free speech, free religion and other Constitutional battles if an organization took up this cause. Slippery. Good article SSG Robert Mark Odom.

MSgt (Join to see) the only info I have is, I saw it broadcast on Nationwide news; I saw it on cable TV. That reel was played back for quite sometime. Was that some kind of fake news reel?

Here is a view of the actual encounter. There was a photo shopped version of this making the rounds shortly after. I have been searching but cannot find any other instance that even comes close to a female governor slapping obama,

MSgt (Join to see) thank you. I see the picture but the video is no longer available. That's interesting. Sometime after 911 many of the original images were not on the Internet anymore. A few years later u stumbled across some of them. But yeah that is the finger pointing part. Hmm interesting.
