Interesting Information, I almost made it to Oktober Fest. Germany 1973 on a TDY, had 3 days off so several of us headed for the Fest. We stopped in a small town with their own celebration going on, got a stoneware stein full of beer for a couple Marks, started drinking and watching large chested women dancing to an Oompopa Band. Next thing I know it was "Oh Crap, I've got a shift on the Flightline tonight!" and we hightailed it back to base just in time.
